CBMM, Toshiba and Sojitz have established a technical partnership to develop a new niobium based lithium ion battery for electrical vehicle applications. The trio will cooperate on the development of a next generation lithium-ion battery anode material using Niobium Titanium Oxide (NTO), which is characterized by safety, long life, high-energy density and ultra-rapid recharging capability required for automotive applications.
