CBMM’s technology initiatives are executed on two main fronts.The company’s Technology Center is located at the industrial complex in Araxá, Brazil and focuses on enhancing the production processes of existing niobium products and developing new ones. The company's technology subsidiary, CBMM Technology Suisse, is based in Geneva and coordinates efforts to develop new niobium applications worldwide

Technology Center

CBMM's laboratory is qualified to assay all the Company's intermediate and final products, assure quality control of critical input materials and perform environmental testing. The laboratory also participates in the research and development of new products and processes.

Metallurgical Processes and Materials Research Center

A first in the world in scale, design and vacuum technologies, CBMM’s Metallurgical Processes and Materials Research Center creates superalloy prototypes and speeds up the to-market process for innovative products containing niobium for the aerospace, energy generation and oil & gas segments.
