70 years of history
In the year that CBMM celebrates its 70th anniversary, we look to the future with the commitment of those who have always built tomorrow. Watch our manifesto and understand why our future is also made of history.1955
Foundation of CBMM

On October 25, 1955, the Brazilian Metallurgy and Mining Company was born in Araxá-MG, contributing to the innovation and development of Niobium technology in Brazil.

1961
Start of operations in Araxá

The start of mining and production operations in Araxá marked a decisive step for the development of the Niobium market.1975
Start of Ferroniobium production

CBMM starts the production of ferroniobium in Araxá, paving the way for the development of alloys and applications that would place Brazilian Niobium on the global stage.

1977
From Araxá to the world

With the Niobium Technology Program implemented in the United States, CBMM expands its international presence and strengthens its commitment to research and innovation.1982
Technology as a protagonist

The inauguration of the Technology Center in Araxá boosts the production of high-performance vacuum-grade alloys, consolidating innovation as a pillar of the operation.1986
CBMM Scientific Breeding Center

Celebration of CBMM s 70 years

CBMM celebrates its 70th anniversary, reaffirming its commitment to the future and the leadership of its people.

Inspired by the future

We remain committed to tomorrow, investing in people, science, and sustainability, not in an attempt to predict the future, but to create it through our actions.Because transforming the world is what drives us.
And the future, the one we began building 70 years ago, is whatinspires us.
